OUR STORY

About Oak Drift Zone

私たちについて

HOW WE BEGAN

Rooted In The Hills Of Akiha

秋葉の丘に根を張って

Oak Drift Zone began in the wooded hills above Niigata, where a small group of trail keepers noticed how few people paused to simply stand still among old oaks. We started with one marked path and a promise: to protect the forest as carefully as we shared it.

Since then, that promise has grown into a network of trails, seasonal programs, and a community of visitors who return, season after season, to the same quiet ground.

HOW WE WORK

Slow Stewardship, Not Mass Tourism

大量誘致ではなく、静かな保全

We limit the number of visitors on any single trail each day, maintain paths by hand, and close sensitive groves during nesting and undergrowth-recovery seasons. Growth, for us, is measured in healthy soil and returning wildlife — not visitor counts.

Every guide, trail map, and seasonal note we publish exists to help you move through the forest gently, leaving it exactly as you found it — or quieter still.

WHAT WE HOLD

Our Values

保全

Preservation

We treat every oak, root, and understory plant as something borrowed, not owned.

静寂

Quietude

Our trails are designed for silence — for the sound of leaves, not crowds.

繋がり

Connection

We believe a slow walk among old trees reconnects people to something patient in themselves.
